Hailing from Franklin, Tennessee, Cianan Reed grew up surrounded by musicians from all across the country who moved to the greater Nashville area for its vibrant music scene. His drummer background began with lessons in 2nd grade, and his interest truly blossomed in middle school. During this time, he entered his school’s concert band, joined his church youth band, attended the Nashville Jazz Workshop Summer Camps, and formed his own band with friends. Recently, he graduated from Belmont University with a degree in Commercial Music with a Performance Emphasis.

Whether he’s laying down the pocket with a country backbeat or chopping out on a fusion groove, Cianan Reed’s approach to drumming serves the style dictated by the song. As a versatile drummer, his background exemplifies flexibility and adaptability to various genres and circumstances, both on the road and in the studio.

Recently, Cianan has been actively engaged in live music performances with Canaan Smith, Mason Ramsey, The Henry Cruz Band, and others across the country. He has showcased his talents at notable venues like CMA Fest, the BOK Center, Gilley’s Saloon, and the Grisley Rose. Cianan’s musical journey is further highlighted by his drumming contributions to the Henry Cruz Band’s latest album, The Big Nashville Record.

Cianan Reed is currently working on his own original music that showcases his talents as a multi-instrumentalist, drawing from his drummer background. He plans to continue his musical journey by performing live music performances, utilizing his skills on the keyboard and bass.
